Our Data Protection team focuses on helping our clients implement an effective data protection programme that protects against threats, propels data-driven transformation, and drives growth. As companies pivot toward a digital business model, exponentially more data is generated and shared among organisations, partners and customers. You'll play an integral role in helping our clients ensure they are mitigating risk by developing transformation strategies focused on data security, including efficiently integrating and managing new or existing data protection technology across their sensitive data landscape.

Our team helps organisations safeguard critical assets by identifying, prioritising, and protecting sensitive or high value business assets. In joining, you’ll focus on assessing, designing, and implementing data protection capabilities including data classification, encryption, de-identification, and sensitive data monitoring technologies to support a a data protection vision for our clients that can be integrated into their broader ERM, cybersecurity & regulatory framework.

 In The Netherlands, PwC has bundled its cybersecurity and privacy expertise in a growing, highly qualified team of over 150 professionals. We offer the full scope of cybersecurity and privacy consulting to our clients including Data Protection and Privacy.

Our Data protection and privacy practice is helping our clients to build trust and solve complex challenges by supporting them in defining a data protection and privacy vision and strategy, design and development of sustainable and agile frameworks, selection and implementation of supporting technology and the change management required to successfully manage data protection. 

What you are going to do

In this unique role, you will be part of our Cybersecurity, Forensics and Privacy Business Unit and as a seasoned Privacy professional (SME and Leadership) you bring our Data Protection and Privacy team and its associated services further:

• Advising on C level, you will consult, drive change on Board level;
• Coaching junior Privacy professionals within CF&P and bring them further in their career;
• Be the SME regarding (E)Privacy within PwC CF&P and cooperate with other teams and expertises, also across territories;
• Grow our visibility in the market and drive business development initiatives. 

More hands on activities will include:

• Develop external relationship network and take ownership in building client relations; 
• Assess data protection and privacy maturity and help clients in building and implementing sustainable data protection and privacy while leveraging technology;
• Support clients in assessing, developing and implementing information governance frameworks;
• Support clients in designing and supporting their privacy operation processes, technology and guidelines. For example:
  .       defining privacy governance and target operating models;
  ·       implementing Privacy by design;
  ·       develop and maintain a privacy-oriented culture;
  ·       data discovery, mapping and classification.

You recognize yourself in the following:

You have minimum experience of 8 years working in the domains of

• You hold two or more of the following certifications: Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/e / CIPM / CIPT), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Data Governance & Stewardship Professional (DGSP) or other related certifications;
• You hold a Master’s or Bachelor's degree in management information systems, computer Science, law, mathematics, regulatory compliance, technology and or engineering;
• You have excellent written and oral communication skills in English and also in Dutch;
• You demonstrate knowledge and proven success in a role that emphasizes technical knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Data protection, data governance and privacy. Preferably in a professional services firm or large organisations, naturally your knowledge of latest technology and Privacy standards will be assessed.
