As Customer & Digital we provide the customer facing portals, but also the customer master data, core customer data insights, and help business units with our Advanced Analytics solutions. Customer & Digital has a flat organization, an open culture and a lot of talented engineers on board. NN is a front-runner for AI, as one of the launching customers for ChatGPT.

What you are going to do

As Domain Architect Data & AI, you will drive our transformation towards a data-driven company, focusing on data-related topics, but you will also be involved in the architecture of Customer & Digital and NN as a whole. You will lead the way for Nationale Nederlanden to become more data-driven and drive the transformation that AI will bring across the Business Units. As an architect, you advise the C&D organization on how to integrate data and AI technology as optimally as possible into our landscape. More specifically, you will:

• provide our DevOps teams with guardrails and guidance on technical and architectural issues, and coach our engineers to help them grow their design, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities
• design secure, resilient and compliant architectures that drive excellent customer experiences across our channels
• stay on top of the latest technological and regulatory trends and developments, and their application in financial services, to anticipate architectural changes and improvements
• create ambitious and realistic implementation roadmaps for the upcoming periods. Your roadmaps will be geared to meeting our strategic goals, increasing customer engagement
• engage with internal and external suppliers/stakeholders, ensuring that our solutions are aligned with our architecture and business goals

• Experience as an architect on complex programs and projects with a heavy IT component
• Experience with software development IT operations and application architectures in a data context, preferably in a financial environment, and an in-depth understanding of integration patterns and cloud-native services
• Good communication & presentation skills and you are organizationally sensitive
• A good command of spoken and written English, as you’ll be working in an international team. Some command of Dutch will help with communication with your Dutch colleagues
• You have a Master degree in an IT related field

You will be part of the architecture team of Customer & Digital, with 4 experienced colleagues, but you will also be working with various experts across NN, and with the scrum teams of primarily the Data & AI department. Also, you will work with the Data Office, our DPO and the Marketing Automation team. You will be the liaison towards NN Group IT and represent Customer & Digital in the Data & AI Architecture Board.
