Who are we?
We are PwC, a global business service provider active in Digital Technology, Assurance, Tax and Advisory. Our Customs and International Trade team is part of the business unit Indirect Taxes and is advising clients on all kinds of customs and international trade topics, and customs software solutions such as SAP GTS is one of the key focus areas. We are expanding the team of SAP GTS consultants to support clients with SAP GTS implementations and improvements in close cooperation with other expert teams with business and systems integrators. These teams are within and outside the business unit Indirect Taxes, but also in other PwC member firms in Europe and the US. We believe in bringing the best of both worlds together to offer complete and the best solutions to our clients.
What will you be doing?
Within our team, we often work in project teams, consisting of staff from both the client and PwC. The people in our project team have different areas of expertise, e.g. project managers, customs and international trade experts and SAP GTS consultants. Everyone has their own role, but in the end, we deliver the solution together and are jointly responsible for providing the client with the best solution.
In these project teams, we work on projects to optimize SAP GTS systems relating to customs and international trade. These are often projects that last at least a few months and you will be working on several projects at once.
An important part of the job is learning to understand the client's way of working. We do this by means of analyses, interviews and workshops at and with the client. The next step in the project is to design the optimal appropriate solution that also fulfils all customs and international trade requirements. Needless to say, we do not simply provide the client with a solution on paper, the next part of a project is implementing and configuring the total solution we have proposed. Of course, this step in the project also includes creating and providing training, to explain to clients what will change for them and how their SAP GTS system can be used optimally.
Your work will consist of the following aspects:
- Advising clients regarding SAP GTS to fulfill their customs and trade compliance needs;
- Implementing SAP GTS solutions from analyzing business processes and translating this to SAP GTS setup through configuration, training and go-live support;
- Working with clients on business and supply chain transformations from an SAP GTS perspective;
- Managing the cooperation with other business and system experts in SAP GTS projects;
- Looking for opportunities to grow the PwC’s SAP GTS team.
Does this describe you?
You are talented, experienced and ambitious and eager to show what you have to offer as an SAP GTS consultant. Also:
- You have at least completed a university degree in economics, business or IT;
- SAP solution implementation experience in one or more modules of SAP GTS;
- Participation in one or more global SAP ERP project/program implementations;
- Understanding of project methodology and milestones (Design, Build, Testing, Training, Go-Live support);
- Experience with SAP MM and/or SD;
- Ability to link business needs and opportunities to system solution possibilities in order to define and config the best system setup;
- Interested in global trade and supply chain processes.
What are we offering?
At PwC, you will have the opportunity to be yourself, get the best out of yourself in a high-performance organisation and grow within our global network. As part of our team we offer:
- A competitive salary and attractive pension plan and the opportunity to grow;
- Customised training for professional growth and leadership development;
